Scholarships

172 research grants, 5,000 communities, 55 million lives all impacted by ACS, the leading cancer fighting organization. With a vision to help end cancer as we know it, ACS partners with TSA to make it our organization's national service project to help raise money for the people with cancer and the families affected by it.  The mission of the American Cancer Society is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

Florida TSA Participation

Through individual chapter efforts and our state conference fundraising, in the past year FL TSA has raised over $2,500 for cancer research.  Chapters have many different opportunities to participate in events that help raise funds for ACS; most notably, our annual escape rooms at the FL TSA State Conference and Competition have been a fun and successful way to raise funds for our National TSA service project.

Interested in having your local chapter participate, but not sure where to start?  Chapters can participate in many ways; here are some ideas from your state officers: vintage t-shirt sale, customized item sale (i.e., bracelets, ornaments, pens etc.), chapter car wash, host an event, and candy grams for Relay for Life.  Relay For Life is the event ACS holds nationally where people come together for the night to celebrate cancer survivors and help raise money for cancer patients. Make sure to check all information in the resources.
